    Forgive me for using a hashtag in the title of my blogpost, that is something I would never do unless the hashtag needs more coverage and I feel that UKYA does! It is a hashtag started by Project UKYA, a blog dedicated to the awesome fiction which comes from our home soil.     Emma Hearts LA book launch

    A very blurry table with Keris’ awesome books, biscuits, cakes and Reese’s Pieces. On Thursday 7th June I was so happy to attend the book launch party for Emma Hearts LA by Keris Stainton. Any reader to the blog will know how much I love this book, I was lucky enough to get hold of a copy before it was even printed and now I have a shiny finished copy to add to my collection!     Emma Hearts LA Blog Tour: Keris Eats LA by Keris Stainton

    When I sent the first draft of Emma Hearts LA to my editor, one of her comments was “Emma and her sister eat a lot of burgers…” I hadn’t noticed. But they totally did. As did I on my research trip to LA. And not just burgers – all the food was fabulous and it’s definitely made its way into the book.  One of the main characters, Oscar, works at a noodle bar called Wok the Boat.
