On My Wishlist is a weekly meme brought to you by Book Chick City, its a chance for you to drool over all those books from the past, present or future which you cant wait to get your hands on!
***
This weeks wishlist is just me punishing myself… you see I think I’m actually going to put myself on a ban (possibly) and these are just books I wont get to buy if I do so! Anyway, I’m cheating this week as the first two of my three books are technically just one series! I’ve seen this series around for a while but have been put off by the original covers… these gorgeous new covers for the “volumes” seem a lot better suited (imo) and I cant wait to get my hands on them! (thanks to Viv at Serendipity Reviews for reminding me to add these to my wishlist following her On My Wishlist last week!)
May 2012 (Ember) [US] (unsure of UK publisher but would expect it to be Random House should they be published.
Goodreads Summary for Bras and Broomsticks (#1 in the series):
What if all your wishes could come true? Blink your eyes, drink a fizzing pink potion, and poof! Life is perfect. That’s Rachel’s situation. Except she’s not the one who suddenly has magical powers. Her younger sister is. And as Rachel would tell you, spellbooks are wasted on the young!
Yes, yes, of course world peace and cures for horrible diseases are important. But so is dancing without looking like she’s being electrocuted, winning back her best friend, stopping her dad’s wedding, and finding a date for Spring Fling.
Rachel’s not bewitched. Yet. . . .

And next… after seeing Ashley at Books from Bleh to Basically Amazing rave about this one on her blog I just had to add it to my ever growing wishlist!! You know that I’m like with books involving music right? #geekout
29th September (Speak) [US]
Goodreads Summary:
Piper is a seventeen-year-old high school senior, and she’s just been challenged to get her school’s super-popular rock band, Dumb, a paying gig. The catch? Piper is deaf. Can she manage a band with five wildly different musicians, nurture a budding romance, and discover her own inner rock star, though she can’t hear Dumb’s music?

The Magic in Manhattan books look like fun reads! I haven’t heard much abotu them, but they look so fun – I’ll have to go check them out and maybe add them to my list.

I agree – the new covers for Magic in Manhatten look so much better and I get a kind of Enchanted vibe of the series. Hope you get them soon! 🙂

I hope you get your books. My wishlist post is short and sweet this week. I’m swamped with the needs of a tiny stray kitten that I’ve adopted. Come see what I’m wishing for.

The Magic in Manhattan series is awesome! I love it so much – it was one of my first ever YA reads! I adore the new covers too. Five Flavours of Dumb looks fab too! Great picks!

I’ve been hearing a lot about Five Flavours of Dumb, too. I love the title, so I definitely want to read the book. Magic in Manhattan looks cute; I’ve been wanted to read Sarah Mlynowski for awhile.

Thanks for adding my book! And seeing the word “flavours” with the “u” added made me all nostalgic. (I’m a Brit too, you see, but I write in the States, where the poor, unloved letter “u” gets cut from countless YA titles every year. It’s shocking!)
