Letterbox Love

Letterbox Love (#87)

Letterbox Love is a weekly feature that is hosted by Lynsey at Narratively Speaking and is a way for us to share the books that come through our letterbox, galleys and e-books (through our electronic letterbox) and any other bookish goodies that we want to tell you about.

For review:

Having heard very good things about Kenneth Oppel’s work I was very happy to be offered his new book, The Boundless, which is one of David Fickling’s first titles following their independence from Random House. Its about two kids on board the greatest steam train ever built looking for adventure and treasure… excited doesn’t cover my feelings towards this book! Thanks DFB

A thriller which reminds me of the movie The Vilalge, this is about a girl who feels a pull toward the woods outside her settlement, a settlement that no one ever leaves. I am very excited to read this and find out more about what lies beyond the settlement for Emmeline. Thanks so much Faber & Faber!

A surprise but a great one, the second in Rachel Ward’s Drowning series has made its way through to me and I can’t wait to find out what happens next. The Drowning was brilliant but as its been a while since I read it I might need to have a quick re-read before getting to this one. Thanks Chicken House!

I loved the first Evie Brooks which saw MC Evie move to Manhattan following the death of her mother and hating life there but soon learning that it was probably the best place for her. Central Park Showdown I’m certain will be just as good. Thanks O’Brien books for this one.

Another Squishy McFluff book! YAY! I don’t usually go this young on my reading but I adored the rhyming and the theme of the first book so just had to check this one out too. Thanks Faber & Faber for sending it over!
