Letterbox Love

Letterbox Love (#79)

Letterbox Love is a weekly feature that is hosted by Lynsey at Narratively Speaking and is a way for us to share the books that come through our letterbox, galleys and e-books (through our electronic letterbox) and any other bookish goodies that we want to tell you about.

For Review:

New Mary Hooper alert! wooop! I love this author and I love historical fiction so I can’t wait to crack open this World War One book. Lets hope its as good as I think it will be, especially since its been published during the 100th anniversary of the war. Thanks Bloomsbury for sending me this one.

I have heard so many things about this book and I am unsure as to whether I will like it or not, but I have to give it a try. The author has been mentored by Stephen Chbosky, the author of Perks of Being a Wallflower, and apparently this book is very similar in style and topic so it might be a bit too alike but I’m willing to find out. Thanks Hot Key for giving me the chance to!

Finally a new Jennifer Donnelly book, you have no idea how long I have been waiting for one! This is the first in a series about mermaids which are a being I’ve not always been on board with in YA but if anyone can make me love them it will be Jennifer Donnelly! Thanks to Hodder Children’s Books for this!

This is a high school drama book with a twist – everyone can hear one anthers thoughts! I am so looking forward to it especially as I loved Sarah Mlynowski’s previous book Ten Things We Did (and Probably Shouldn’t Have Done). Thanks again to Hodder/Orchard for sending this one!

A love story that focusses on coming to terms with the death of a family member, this book sounded interesting but has the chance to contain some kind of twist and I am really waning to find out if it does. Thank you Macmillan for sending it over!

Another Hodder/ Orchard one this sounded like my kinda thing. Its about a girl who has two lives and she slips out of one into the other every 24 hours. I would have read it just with that sentence of description tbh but the blurb goes into even more detail and now I’m desperate to read it!

I had recevived a proof copy of this unsolicited too but I haven’t read it yet, not sure what to do with my finished copy, maybe a giveaway! Thanks though Bloomsbury!

It is Caits fault I bought this. I haven’t even read the first one yet but it was thrust into my arms and I was told to buy it, at £2.50 from Waterstones I couldn’t really say no though could I?!
