Letterbox Love (#43)
Welcome to Letterbox Love, this is a UK meme, hosted by the lovely Lynsey at Narratively Speaking and inspired by The Story Siren’s In My Mailbox. This post is a means by which to highlight the books we get in the post and beyond, and especially to bring attention to those books which may be sat on our shelves for a little while yet that we love all the same.
A few awesome books this week, modelled by my mate Terry the Triceratops!
For Review:
Rose Under Fire – Elizabeth Wein (Unsolicited)
I have heard amazing things about Wein’s first novel Code Name Verity but haven’t got round to getting hold of a copy myself. This has been on my wishlist too since I spoke to a friend about it last week but the wonderful people at Electric Monkey sent it over for me. Thanks guys!
Shipwrecked – Siobhan Curham (Unsolicited)
I actually got a proof copy of this a few weeks ago and I read it last week, its fantastic and I definitely recommend it! As I have a proof I think I’ll be giving this one away at some point on the blog so look out for that. Thanks Electric Monkey again though!
Charm and Strange – Stephanie Kuehn (Unsolicited)
Again this one is an Electric Monkey title and in all honesty, I hadn’t heard of it until it landed on my doorstep. It looks and sounds great though so I’ll be digging in soon!
Bought:
So last week I popped into Manchester to catch up with Cait from The Cait Files… and as usual she tried talking me into reading this books yet again. This time I relented and bought the first one with the promise that I will read it soon, and definitely before the movie comes out! Lets hope I like it!
This was on the buy one get one half price offer that City Of Bones was on so I thought I’d pick it up… it’s been on my wishlist for ages and I love historical fiction so I can’t wait to give it a read. The author comes highly recommended from her first book Between Shades of Gray so I am expecting to love this one!

Great haul! I LOVED Code name Verity and am just dying to read Rose Under Fire, so really looking forward to seeing what you think of it. Shipwrecked is another book I really want to read, as is Out of the Easy. I read Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys last week and it was just beautiful!
