Letterbox Love (#20)

Welcome to Letterbox Love, this is a UK meme, hosted by the lovely Lynsey at Narratively Speaking and inspired by The Story Sirens In My Mailbox, where we highlight the books we got in the post and beyond!!

No dinosaur needed this week as the books have dinos on them! I got so many books that I had to split the pics into two, oops!
For Review:
I cant wait to dig into these! The Alcatraz book is a completel version of a series which sounds so good and includes talking dinosaurs so we all know why I wanted to read that one – thank you Orion! I heard Karen Mahoney speak about Falling to Ash and read some of it and I knew as soon as she started talking about it that it would be amazing – Thanks to Random House! The Icarus Project sounds so awesome and has such a cool cover that I knew it was a must read, thanks to Amulet for this. Also thanks to Chronicle I was sent four Dinosaur board books for review. I flicked through these and they look so cool!
I went into town on Saturday and made the mistake of going into the clearance book store, but this meant that I got the third in the Eragon series for just £2, it dust jacket is a bit ripped and torn but for £2 I’m not going to complain. Whilst I was there I saw The Last Ghost too and I’m a sucker for awesome covers so I needed to buy this one!
I also won a few books this week! yay!
I won Fire Spell through Bloomsbury Kids’ facebook page. I also won five books from Emma’s Blog when she was celebrating the launch of the new Vintage Children’s Classic books. Vintage are a Random House imprint and they have redesigned the covers of some brilliant children’s classics to bring them into the modern world. I think I have read four of these five but most of those have’t been read for years and I only actually already own The Curious Incident and Peter Pan, my copy of Peter Pan is rubbish though so I’m glad to be swapping it for this one!
So that’s my huge letterbox love this week! I cant wait to see what everyone else got!
