In My Mailbox (#7)

In My Mailbox is hosted by The Story Siren as a way of showing off our addiction to books every week. You can learn more about is here.

This week my in my mailbox is brought to you by erm… well, this dinosur doesn’t have a name as some question his dinosaur-ness… ๐Ÿ™ Anyway if you want to name him please feel free…

So this week! big book week!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Borrowed from friend:
The Pact – Jodi Picoult
My Sisters Keeper – Jodi Picoult
These two were leant to me by my wonderful friend Steff who has just started her own blog here. Now if you read my blog you will obviously know that YA is my thing and this kinda thing isn’t usually what I read but I have been meaning to give Jodi Picoult a try as I know she kinda crossovers quite well!

Gifts and Tours:
Blood Magic – Tessa Gratton
This was sent to me by the amazing Emma from Book Angels Booktopia as she received an extra ARC from the publisher! Thanks again Emma
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
Sent to me through the awesome UK book tours site

Bought:
Endymion Spring – Matthew Skelton
Everlost- Neal Shusterman
The Virgin Suicides – Jeffery Eugenides
The Broken Bride – Philip Pullman
Mediator one and two: Love you to Death and High Stakes – Meg Cabot (two books in one! yay!)

Bought for someone else (cos I’m nice like that!):
A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Grim Grotto – Lemony Snicket
This is number 11 in the series and as I know my friend bought 1-6 a couple of weeks ago I asked her if she wanted it (it was in a charity shop for 99p!). I’m hoping that my kindness makes her lend them to me once she’s read them.

So that was my huge haul this week! (bigger than usual!) What did you guys get!?

I have yet to read Anna and the French Kiss – but I’ve heard so much good things about it! Happy reading. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thats a great mailbox. I’ve read a couple of Jodi Picoult’s books and enjoyed them, although probably not as much as I enjoy YA. I’m looking forward to Blood Magic being released. It sounds really good.

Nice haul this week! ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve had Endymion Spring for quite a few years but haven’t got round to reading it yet… I must also get round to reading The Virgin Suicides!

You haven’t read A Series of Unfortunate Events?? You must! It’s good and really easy to read!

Hope you enjoy them all! ๐Ÿ™‚

The Virgin Suicides is great. I love that cover as well, unfortunately my copies have different covers (yes I have two copies, unfortunately one was lent out and has yet to resurface) which aren’t as nice I think.

That a lot of great books! I’ve heard such amazing things about Anna and the French Kiss but still haven’t gotten to it. My Sisters Keeper is not an easy read emotionally, but so good. Enjoy all of these!

That is a huge haul! The whole not buying books thing doesn’t seem to be going too well :0)

I really enjoyed Jodi Picoult, My Sosters Keeper is one of my favourite books, in all honesty I’ve not enjoyed any of her others as much. Don’t watch the film though, it’s a massive let down compared to the book. In fact the best thing about the film is the soundtrack – I got the first dance song for my wedding from the film!
