TBR Pile

From The Review Pile (#11): Forbidden by Jana Oliver

From the Review Pile is a meme created by Stephanie over at Stepping Out of the Page Designed to highlight the books that we have have sitting on our review piles and tbr shelves for far too long, it gives books the little bit of extra publicity they deserve. You can find out more about the meme here and you can follow the link above to Stephanie’s blog.

Todays Pick comes to you from my very large review pile. When the final book in the Demon Trappers series came out I was offered them all. I asked for the first two books hoping I would like them then I would buy the last two myself. I read the first soon after it came and loved it. However other review and personal books got in the way and now, Forbidden has been sat on my tbr pile ever since.

I don’t understand why I didn’t read it straight away, I know I should have and I loved Forsaken! Alas I will make time for it and the other two books soon, even if I have to ignore another series for it!

Goodreads summary:
Riley Blackthorne is beginning to learn that there are worse things than death by demon. And love is just one of them…

Seventeen-year-old Riley has about had it up to here. After the devastating battle at the Tabernacle, trappers are dead and injured, her boyfriend Simon is gravely injured, and now her beloved late father’s been illegally poached from his grave by a very powerful necromancer. As if that’s not enough, there’s Ori, one sizzling hot freelance demon hunter who’s made himself Riley’s unofficial body guard, and Beck, a super over-protective “friend” who acts more like a grouchy granddad. With all the hassles, Riley’s almost ready to leave Atlanta altogether.

But as Atlanta’s demon count increases, the Vatican finally sends its own Demon Hunters to take care of the city’s “little” problem, and pandemonium breaks loose. Only Riley knows that she might be the center of Hell’s attention: an extremely powerful Grade 5 demon is stalking her, and her luck can’t last forever…
