TBR Pile

For The Review Pile (#8): Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

From the Review Pile is a meme created by Stephanie over at Stepping Out of the Page. Designed to highlight the books that we have have sitting on our review piles and tbr shelves for far too long, it gives books the little bit of extra publicity they deserve. You can find out more about the meme here and you can follow the link above to Stephanie’s blog.

Wow, another year, 2013 marks two years of blogging for me. I still remember taking a picture of my TBR pile a few months in and it only taking up one shelf, and not even a whole one, on the entire bookshelf… I wish it was still the case. I have books on my TBR shelves that were in that first picture which I still haven’t read, how bad is that! Its one of those that I want to share with you today. Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater was bought using gift vouchers I got for Christmas in 2010, that seems an awful long time for it to have just sat on my bookshelf and it is… that’s why I’ve added it to my ‘must read in 2013’ pile… I will get this read!

Goodreads summary:
When a local boy is killed by wolves, Grace’s small town becomes a place of fear and suspicion. But Grace can’t help being fascinated by the pack, and by one yellow-eyed wolf in particular. There’s something about him – something almost human. Then she meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away…

A chilling love story that will have you hooked from the very first page.

I need to read this too! I am debating whether to buy this or The Raven Boys… this author is amazing so I think either will be fine to buy! 🙂 I hope you enjoy when the time comes xx

Raimy, Raimy , Raimy *shakes head*
Not I’m certainly not criticising the state of your TBR pile, to do so would be hypocritical. To leave poor Sam on the shelf like that *sheds a single tear*. If you don’t get a move on with this trilogy you will never get to meet Cole . Trust me, you are going to want to meet him 😉

I loved this series, it took me ages before I picked up the first book, wanting to avoid all the hype over it, but once I picked it up I couldn’t put it down.

You have to read this soon.
