Cover Reveal: Sweet Legacy by Tera Lynn Childs
This is the third book in the Medusa Girls series. I loved the first and really must get round to the second. The covers, of which the first and second can bee seen below the third, haven’t really had much of an effect on me to be honest, I could take them or leave them but I really do like the bold colours on this one! Sweet Legacy will be released in September by Templar.
Summary for book one: Grace just moved to San Francisco and is excited to start over at a new school. Gretchen is tired of monsters pulling her out into the wee hours, especially on a school night. Greer has her life pretty well put together, thank you very much. Three teenage descendants of Medusa, the once-beautiful gorgon maligned by myth, must reunite and embrace their fates in this unique paranormal world where monsters lurk in plain sight.
Video: Neil Gaiman talks about Fortunately, The Milk
I’ve already talked about how amazing I think Neil Gaiman is and shared his video about his most recent book, Chu’s Day. Now Neil is back to talk about Fortunately, The Milk, which quite frankly sounds amazing. There’s Dinosaurs, whats not to love?! Fortunately, The Milk will be out in September and published by Bloomsbury. Watch the video to find out more!
Secret Conversation of Lemony Snicket recorded and released by Egmont!
Do you want to hear about Lemony Snicket’s second book in the All The Wrong Questions series? Thought so, head on over to Egmont’s website to find out more and listen to the recording!
New Cover: Midwinterblood by Marcus Sedgwick
Isn’t this pretty! I really loved this book and Indigo have treated it to a new cover! I liked the other but this one is better and really captures the contents of the book!
Have you ever had the feeling that you’ve lived another life? Been somewhere that has felt totally familiar, even though you’ve never been there before, or felt that you know someone well, even though you are meeting them for the first time? It happens. In 2073 on the remote and secretive island of Blessed, where rumour has it that no one ages and no children are born, a visiting journalist, Eric Seven, and a young local woman known as Merle are ritually slain. Their deaths echo a moment ten centuries before, when, in the dark of the moon, a king was slain, tragically torn from his queen. Their souls search to be reunited, and as mother and son, artist and child, forbidden lovers, victims of a vampire they come close to finding what they’ve lost. In a novel comprising seven parts, each influenced by a moon – the flower moon, the harvest moon, the hunter’s moon, the blood moon – this is the story of Eric and Merle whose souls have been searching for each other since their untimely parting.
Cover Reveal: Creul Summer by James Dawson
So I have been eagerly awaiting James’ new book since I finished Hallow Pike, which if you haven’t read go and do so now! Cruel Summer sounds incredible and the cover couldn’t be any more different to James’ first books cover! I can’t wait to read this one which will be released in July by Indigo.
A year after Janey’s suicide, her friends reunite at a remote Spanish villa, desperate to put the past behind them. However, an unwelcome guest arrives claiming to have evidence that Jane was murdered. When she is found floating in the pool, it becomes clear one of them is a killer. Only one thing is for certain, surviving this holiday is going to be murder…
A compelling and psychological thriller – with a dash of romance
