Bookish News

Bookish and Blogish News (#19)

Hi Everyone! I hope you’re all good and not too full from all the Halloween sweeties! I had a good week and really enjoyed sharing my halloween type books with you! This week is back to normal books but I’ve got a non-bookish post on Wednesday so be warned (but please still read it, its a music-y post!) For now though I have some awesome cover reveals to share with you guys!

Confessions of An Angry Girl – Louise Rozett
This is the UK cover for Confessions of an Angry Girl, I really like it and even though its not too different from the US cover I think the differences make it look better. I have heard mixed things about this book but I am still looking forward to giving it a read! Check out the goodreads summary:

Rose Zarelli, self-proclaimed word geek and angry girl, has some confessions to make…1. I’m livid all the time. Why? My dad died. My mom barely talks. My brother abandoned us. I think I’m allowed to be irate, don’t you?

2. I make people furious regularly. Want an example? I kissed Jamie Forta, a badass guy who might be dating a cheerleader. She is nowenraged and out for blood. Mine.

3. High school might as well be Mars. My best friend has been replaced by an alien, and I see red all the time. (Mars is red and “seeing red” means being angry—get it?)

Here are some other vocab words that describe my life: Inadequate. Insufferable. Intolerable.

(Don’t know what they mean? Look them up yourself.)

(Sorry. That was rude.)

Speechless – Hannah Harrington

Sorry this isn’t the greatest picture but I couldn’t find a picture online so I took it from the SpilledInk newsletter – the one they send out and put on their facebook page. I just had to share it becuase I think its so much nicer than the US one and I just love it! I cant wait to read this book when its out next February. The goodreads summary is:
Everyone knows that Chelsea Knot can’t keep a secret

Until now. Because the last secret she shared turned her into a social outcast—and nearly got someone killed.

Now Chelsea has taken a vow of silence—to learn to keep her mouth shut, and to stop hurting anyone else. And if she thinks keeping secrets is hard, not speaking up when she’s ignored, ridiculed and even attacked is worse.

But there’s strength in silence, and in the new friends who are, shockingly, coming her way—people she never noticed before; a boy she might even fall for. If only her new friends can forgive what she’s done. If only she can forgive herself

Zom-B City – Darren Shan

Earlier this week I reviewed Zom-B by Darren Shan, I’d love to guess how long this series would be but as Shan’s other series’ have reached 12 books I don’t think I’d get it right! However the second book is Zom-B Underground and is due out in January and this week Shan revealed the third book title and book cover, as seen above! I hate clowns but I guess I’ll just have to persevere with it because there’s no way I’m giving up this series anytime soon! There’s no summary for this one yet but expected publication is Mid March 2013… this guy works fast!
That’s all from me this weekend, I would say I’ll be back tomorrow with a Letterbox Love but it’s not looking likely as I haven’t got any books this week! Anyway I hope you have a lovely weekend
