Bookish and Bloggish News (#13)

Hey guys, Hope you’re good this weekend. I have a fair few covers that you might have seen around but I wanted to collect them all together for you.

Undone – Cat Clarke

Isn’t it beautiful? This is the third book from the fabulous Cat Clarke, I have adored both her other books and I am soooo excited for this. Laura AKA Sisterspooky shared the cover and the blurb, which you can read below on Thursday and I’ve been strokng my computer screen since! Unfortunately we have to wait until 31st Jan until this one is published by Quercus… too long!!

Jem Halliday is in love with her gay best friend.  Not exactly ideal, but she's learning to live with it.  Then the unspeakable happens. Kai is outed online...and he kills himself. Jem knows nothing she can say or do will bring him back.  But she wants to know who was responsible.  And she wants to take them down... A searing story of love, revenge and betrayal  from a bestselling author,  UNDONE will take your breath away.

Mystic City - Theo Lawrence

I love this and it sounds sooooo good. This will be published next month by Corgi and I’ve shared the blurb below for you. With references to X-Men and Blade Runner it really is a must read for me!

For fans of Matched, The Hunger Games, X-Men, and Blade Runner comes a tale of a magical city divided, a political rebellion ignited, and a love that was meant to last forever. Book One of the Mystic City Novels.
Aria Rose, youngest scion of one of Mystic City’s two ruling rival families, finds herself betrothed to Thomas Foster, the son of her parents’ sworn enemies. The union of the two will end the generations-long political feud—and unite all those living in the Aeries, the privileged upper reaches of the city, against the banished mystics who dwell below in the Depths. But Aria doesn’t remember falling in love with Thomas; in fact, she wakes one day with huge gaps in her memory. And she can’t conceive why her parents would have agreed to unite with the Fosters in the first place. Only when Aria meets Hunter, a gorgeous rebel mystic from the Depths, does she start to have glimmers of recollection—and to understand that he holds the key to unlocking her past. The choices she makes can save or doom the city—including herself.

The Holders – Julianna Scott

This new one, published by the wonderful folks at Strange Chemistry, looks incredibly eye catching, I wanna know whats going on with that stone! I believe this is gunna be out next March so we’ve got a bit of a wait but it might just be worth it!

17-year-old Becca has spent her whole life protecting her brother – from their father leaving and from the people who say the voices in his head are unnatural. When two strangers appear with apparent answers to Ryland’s “problem” and details about a school in Ireland where Ryland will not only fit in, but prosper, Becca is up in arms.

She reluctantly agrees to join Ryland on his journey and what they find at St. Brigid’s is a world beyond their imagination. Little by little they piece together information about their family’s heritage and the legend of the Holder race that decrees Ryland is the one they’ve been waiting for—but they are all, especially Becca, in for a surprise that will change what they thought they knew about themselves and their kind.
