Hello!! Happy Saturday, I’ve got lots to share with you in the world of YA books this week so I’m just gunna get on with it!
Thank you to everyone who visited my blog and entered my birthday giveaway! I am please to announce that the two winners were:
Well done to both of you, Caroline wins Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry and a signed The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson. Bethan wins a copy of Chime by Franny Billingsley! You’re prizes will be sent out this weekend guys!
The above image shows the wonderful entry from Alissa, the 17 year old from Somerset, who has won the accolade of Britain’s Biggest Harry Potter fan. The competition was launched to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philospher’s Stone and ran across the country with postboxes in libraries and bookshops accepting entries. I personally love Alissa’s entry, especially the way it ends, but do not envy the people who had to make the decision as the runner up entries were awesome too! Well done to Alissa and the runners up, whose entries are all available to view on the KidsBloomsbury facebook page.
The Throne of Glass tour kicks off on Monday! I can’t wait to read this book and I’m sure some of the posts are going to be fab too! Click here to view the tour dates and blog locations!
You can read the first chapter of the new Sarah Crossan novel, Breathe, here now. I will be taking part in a blog tour for this in October and I can’t wait to read it, it sounds so good!
Random House childrens publishers have just this week launched their new and exciting teen website, Totally Random! The site launched with a feature from Jenny Downham about Now is Good and its adaptation to a movie and looks really great so far, its still in the early stages but I for one expect some great stuff to come from it soon!!
Thats it for this week, I’m fairly sure I’ve given you enough to be excited about so happy reading!!
