Passion (Fallen #3) – Lauren Kate

***Passion is the third in the Fallen series by Lauren Kate. Whilst I have taken care not to give too much away; if you have not read the first two books, Fallen and Torment, then this review will contain spoilers.*** “A shot rang out. A broad gate banged open. A pounding of horses’ hooves echoed around the track like a massive clap of thunder.  ‘And they’re off!’ Sophia Bliss adjusted the wide brim of her feathered hat. Unison 3.0 – Andy Marino

“Her new name was Mistletoe. Trick or Treat – Richie Tankersley Cusick

“‘Okay, how about this? Spirits in torment! Do they really come back to the scenes of their tragedies? Bound there forever, even in death?’  Martha stared out at the deepening twilight, the rolling hillsides so unfamiliar, the trees nearly stripped by October winds. In spite of the station wagon’s stuffy interior, she shivered. ‘Dad, do we have to talk about that now?’” Martha doesn’t like the fact her dad decided to marry Sally, she doesn’t like the fact she now has to live with Sally and her creepy son Conor. But most of all she doesn’t like the fact that to live with them, her father has packed up their…

Random House Book Blogger Brunch (16th June 2012)

Wow, I should really write up these events sooner! But nevermind, here goes! A month ago I was invited to an event at the Random House Childrens Publishers (RHCP) Pimlico office. The event was to highlight the RHCP titles due out in the second half of 2012 and early 2013. I love all publisher events but I think this one was by far my favourite so far, so interesting and they had great food, which is always a bonus!  Anyway, I started off getting up at silly o clock for my 6.20 train. I got to London at around 10 and made my way to the Pimlico tube station, there…
