Series I’ve started and really should get round to finishing! #1

Whilst talking to some blogger friends recently I realised that I have a terrible habit of starting a series and never finishing it! I don’t know why this is but I seem to do it a lot and I thought I’d share some of them with you over the next couple of weeks so you can all shout at me and tell me why I need to finish them!

The Hunger Games – Susanne Collins
Im gunna get really shouted at for this. I bought the first one with a voucher my mother-in-law gave me for Christmas in 2010. I read it (review) pretty soon after I bought it and enjoyed it but there were some things that I didn’t love as much as I thought I would. I think its because of the hype to be honest so I was hoping it would die down. However the movie jsut come out and the hype hasn’t died down adn Im still second and third book-less! I need to get to these ones and thankfully I gave a friend my copy of The Hunger Games and she bought the second and third as soon as she finished it, so i’m borrowing them off her soon!

Noughts and Crosses – Malorie Blackman
I adored this series when I was a teen. I zoomed through the first two and then bought the third on release day and read that. Then, when I was 19 the fourth book came out. I had recently decided that I was too old to read YA and didnt want to re-read the series to remind myself of it just to read the fourth book… so it’s been sat there on my shelf for four years now… unread. Poor Double Cross!!

Stravaganza – Mary Hoffman
I read the first two of these books when I was younger… I can’t quite remember when but I have them both in hardback so I think they were bought when they were published in 2002 and 2003 respectively and I read them soon after. I recently re-read  the first book, City of Masks (review) and I enjoyed it but I didn’t love it enough to jump into City of Stars. I haven’t even begun to look at the rest of the series yet and I don’t know if I will as the 6thone is due out soon!
