I’m Raimy, before you ask my name is not foreign, niether am I a gypsy (yes I’ve been asked both of these questions before) it in fact comes from Rachel Amy which is my real name although even my parents have started using Raimy.
I’m 23, I work for a magazine (you wont have heard of it) and live near Preston, England. I live with my boyfriend, and on the weekend my boyfriends son. I graduated with a 2:2 in English Language and Literature in 2010.
The literature part of my degree was awful and put me off reading during term time for the whole three years. This resulted in me missing out on some serious reading time and I’m planning on making that time up now!
I love reading, especially my old faves Harry Potter, Noughts and Crosses and anything by Sarra Manning, Keris Stainton, Zoe Marriott and Cat Clarke. I have a huge love for my #UKYA authors! I now mainly read YA novels but I went through a time where I thought I was too old for these and stopped. I’ve realised now that the rest of me has had to grow up so who cares if my mind wanders over to YA for its reading activities!
