Malorie Blackman week!

Hello!! Welcome to my week of Malorie Blackman! I have decided to celebrate the cover update of the Noughts and Crosses series with a whole week dedicated to Malorie and the series, with a review everyday from tomorrow until Friday!
You may think that as with many people if I was asked what my favourite series is it would be Harry Potter, now don’t get me wrong, you know I love Harry as much as the next guy but I’m afirad he will always be second in my rankings because Callum and Sephy, that’s where it’s at! I love the Noughts and Crosses series and have done for many years.
When I was told about the new covers, more on that to follow, I knew I was far overdue for a re-read of the series so I thoughts I’d crack them open again and share my thoughts on them with you, my lovely blog readers! Now I may get a little over-excited over the course of the next week so please feel free to ignore me if I do, skip over those bits and just let me convince you to either read or re0read this series too!

So for my first post of the week let me introduce you to the wonderful schmexy new covers of Malories books! I love the original covers and thought they were great soI was a bit wary whne I found out the were being updated. However Random House/ Corgi have done a FANTASTIC job and only sutbley changed them so they are still striking and very, very effective!

So what do you think? I really love the old covers but think the new ones are a bit more modern and striking. Well done to Corgi for creating such awesome book covers yet again! 🙂

  • Malorie Blackman week, how exciting! I look forward to it 🙂

  • I have book 1 but as ever it’s still sat waiting to be read. I’m a far of the new covers and have them as faceouts in the teen section at work. Although the books sold anyway these new covers are making a difference.

  • I’m so glad you’re hosting this week – woohoo! I’m sort of undecided about the new cover…they’re alright, but I think the bright colours look out of place!

  • YAY! Malorie Blackman week! This is a great idea 😀 I still have to read the next 3 books of this series… I NEED to finish it >.<
I love both of the covers. The new ones are gorgeous but I like the how all the orginal colours are in black and white, echoing the book’s theme.
Thanks for sharing, I can’t wait for the rest of the other posts! 😀

  • I love both…but the new ones are more eye catching, which I think is what they’re hoping for!
I still remember you telling me about these in college!! Can’t believe I hadn’t heard of them before that!

Looking forward to the rest of the week 🙂
