Letterbox Love (#70)

Letterbox Love is a weekly feature that is hosted by Lynsey at Narratively Speaking and is a way for us to share the books that come through our letterbox, galleys and e-books (through our electronic letterbox) and any other bookish goodies that we want to tell you about

For Review:

This book is about Witches and the publishers, Penguin, believe that it will do for Witches what Twilight did for vampires, but its probably better than Twilight (my words, not theirs). Its sold like exceptionally well, as in to publishers across the world not to readers, and I am definitely excited to try it out. Thanks to Penguin for sending a copy over!

Finally I get to find out whats going to happen in the second White Rabbit Chronicles book, it feels like forever since I read the first but I did enjoy it and have wanted to know what happens next in it for a while. Thanks for sending me this MiraInk!

I have heard such amazing things about Elizabeth Scott but have yet to actually read any of her books, when I saw that MiraInk were publishing her latest book over here I knew I would have to finally try her work out for myself and this does sound like a great one to start with. Thanks MiraInk!

This dropped unexpectedly through my door this week from Bloomsbury and to be honest I have no idea what it is. It is described as being Dirty Dancing meets Geek Girl which interests me as I loved Geek Girl but who knows, we shall see. Thanks Bloomsbury

I probably shouldn’t have asked for this as I know the first book in this series is sat on my shelf unread following it arriving unsolicited last year. However this series does sound great and I have been meaning to read Jinx forever. Middle Grade fantasy is one of my fave genres so I will be making a start on this series soon, thanks Quercus Kids for sending this over!

This arrived form Bloomsbury too and again I am not really sure what its about or anything, I hadn’t heard about it until it arrived but its a fantasy, sounds dystopian-y and it sounds like it might be fun, who knows!

  • A brilliant week for you!

I loved Half Bad! I met the author last month as booksellers got to go to an author dinner. Sally really is lovely. The story is one that made me really think about what people are capable of and what means they will go to to make another suffer. I don’t think this book will be for everyone but it was for me, Sally has got my attention.

  • Eeek I hope you enjoy Fangirl! And Take Back the Skies looks really intriguing, cant wait to see what you think.

  • You’re gonna love Fangirl, I just read it and it’s awesome! Great haul this week Raimy, hope you enjoy them all 🙂

  • ooooh awesome haul! 😀 I have a copy of Half Bad too, and it sounds really good. I’m starting Fangirl tonight as I pre-ordered it and it came last week 😀 I hope you enjoy it too! 🙂

  • Fangirl is AMAZING! I love it so much. I really hope you enjoy it. There’s been so much hype around Half Bad…I kinda hope it doesn’t start a whole host of copycat witch books…I really like witch books and I don’t want people to start hating them!
