Letterbox Love (#58)

Letterbox Love is a weekly feature that is hosted by Lynsey at Narratively Speaking and basically, the idea came out of a discussion with other UK book bloggers about the need to do a weekly meme with more of a British feel to it. Therefore, Letterbox Love was born and the logo was lovingly designed by Dark Readers. Letterbox Love is a way for us to share the books that come through our letterbox, galleys and e-books (through our electronic letterbox) and any other bookish goodies that we want to tell you about.

For Review:

Thank you Indigo for sending me this beauty. I loved Marcus Sedgwick’s previous book published through Indigo, Midwinterblood, so I knew I couldn’t miss out on this one, especially when I saw that cover! I can’t wait to read it!

Thanks Macmillan! I hadn’t heard of this one until the email landed in my inbox asking me to share a song that means something to me on twitter with the hashtag ‘this song will save your life.’ Now if you have been a reader of my blog for a while you may understand that I love music so this challenge was great for me, even if it did take me ages to think of the perfect song to share! I love the sound of the book too and think I will get along very nicely with it!

Thanks Michael O’Mara books! This just landed on my doormat unexpectedly, but oh wow was it a lot of fun for my Friday night! I am writing a review but as its not a book per se, I’m not sure how to do that yet!

I got this one through a lovely freelance PR person and they sent it over from Pushkin Press so thanks to both! I love the sound of it and am very interested in it, it sounds like the perfect fantasy for me and I am also intrigued to read books that weren’t written in English first, I love the doors that translation opens to us! Anyway its the first in a French series of six, but only this one is published in English so far; lets hope it does well and all of them are available to us soon!
