Letterbox Love (#53)

Welcome to Letterbox Love, this is a UK meme, hosted by the lovely Lynsey at Narratively Speaking and inspired by The Story Siren’s In My Mailbox. This post is a means by which to highlight the books we get in the post and beyond, and especially to bring attention to those books which may be sat on our shelves for a little while yet that we love all the same.

For Review:

I enjoyed the first in this series, Confessions of an Angry Girl and am intrigued to know where the story goes next. Thanks to MiraInk I’m going to be able to find that out soon!

I loved the first book in The Demon Trappers series and really need to read the rest, however reading just that one has instilled a love for the author so I cannot wait to read this book. Briar Rose is a new imagining of the Sleeping Beauty story and sounds fantastic, thanks MacMillan Children’s Books!

This is the fourth in the Watersong series and unfortunately I haven’t read the others. I am hoping to get hold of them though as I have heard amazing things about the author. Thanks to Tor for sending this over.

The Elms and the Lost Crown

Little Lowb and Baby Owl

Odd Soks to the Rescue
These amazing stories were written by Steve Critchley and illustrated by the author and an illustrator by the name of Rob Jones. The books have been put together and edited by Steve’s son Erik Critchley and following a conversation with Steve’s other son, Jake, on Twitter I have a set to review. They are all based in the Lake District, close to where I live and where I spent most of my summers as a child. There will be more about the books on my blog soon but for now you can read about them on the official Lakeland Oddsoks website.

  1. Hi Raimy,
You got some cool books this week. Elegy sounds good as I was a fan of her Switched trilogy and ever since I’ve been dying to read something else by her. The Confessions series is quite popular and one I’m yet to get into. Hope you enjoy your books, Happy Reading 🙂
