Letterbox Love (#50)

Welcome to Letterbox Love, this is a UK meme, hosted by the lovely Lynsey at Narratively Speaking and inspired by The Story Siren’s In My Mailbox. This post is a means by which to highlight the books we get in the post and beyond, and especially to bring attention to those books which may be sat on our shelves for a little while yet that we love all the same.

For Review:

Finally, the third and final instalment of the Soul Beach trilogy, I CANNOT wait to find out what happens! Thank you so much Indigo!!

These were sent to me from Electric Monkey, I already received an ARC and now I have two copies of the finished book… One has been snapped up and the main reason I have put this on my Letterbox Love is to let you know that I will celebrate the release of Arclight with a giveaway as a part of my review post.

This is a ghost story. I have a thing for ghost stories at the minute and I really wanted to read this one, all about a set of twins, one of which is on the brink of death because a ghost has stolen him… how cool?! This ones from Walker and thanks to them guys for sending!

Diary of Dorkius Maximus in Egypt – Tim Collins (Unsolicited)
This sounds great but isn’t my kind of thing I don’t think… I’m hoping to find out if you need to read the first book to enjoy this second though if anyone knows, and thanks anyway to Michael O’Mara for sending!

Secrets and Spies: Treason – Jo Macauley

I was lucky enough to be invited to join Team Fox, Curious Fox’s review team this week and the lovely guys over there have sent me some books to get started. Secrets and Spies looks like an awesome series and this one I believe is the first of four, can’t wait to get started on it.

This is another Curious Fox title and another ghost type story. It was first published by the Ficiton Express team as a series of ten ebooks and I am so glad its come out in paperback form for those of us who prefer hard copies! Thanks CF!

The cover and the title drew me to this one, I love them both, but the content also sounds great. A post apocalyptic road trip with links to the church and a bit of a romance going on… I have a feeling this will be a very contempory feeling post apocalypse book though. Thanks to Hot Key Books for sending this one over!

This has been on my radar for a while and I’m so glad I’ve finally got a copy. Its about a gymnast who moonlights shall we say, as a diamon thief in Victorian London, theres a lot more to it than that I’m sure and I can’t wait to find it all out! Thanks again Curious Fox for allowing me to be part of the team!

Weirdos and Quimboids Merch: Eyeliner and Eyeshadow

I was lucky enough to be a twitter/facebook winner of this awesome eyeliner and eyeshadow branded with the Weirdos and Quimboids log and stuff! I needed some new eyeliner… however I also got a press release which told me more about the book which is coming soon from Catnip Publishing, and sounds awesome!

I’ve been trying to collect these when I see them around and I found this perfect condition version of volume 4 in the series for cheap in a second hand bookshop and I just had to buy it!
