In My Mailbox (#47)

In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi, The Story Siren, you probably already know that but if you don’t, go here to find out more!

No vlog this week Im afraid guys, I was thinking about doing one but you may have noticed last week that I have a bad skin problem and my lips get really dry and cracked cos of it, it was bad last week but it is worse this week, its really hurting and looks awful, so just a pic of my books this week!
I was trying to be good but various hurdles were there for me this week and I tripped over them all rather than jumping clear! oops!

For Review:
These were totally unexpected books from Indigo, I think I requested them late last year when we were given a list of titels to choose from and I’d forgotten all about them so it was a huge shock to receive them, but a very good one. Ive been wanting to read Cliff McNish’s The Hunting Ground for ages!
Gifted/Borrowed:
Viv at Serendipity Reviews had been gushing about skin Deep since she finished it and when I mentioned that I really wanted to read it she offered me her spare copy, I couldn’t turn her down after hearing such amazing things so thank you Viv!
Also my work colleague had been reading War Horse and knew I was a big reader so when I said I hadn’t read it she offered to lend me it once she’d finished. Its a short book and I knew it wouldn’t take long so I accepted and she brought it to me teary eyed once she had finished!
Won:
That you so much to Andy at The Pweter Wolf for these books! I won a giveaway for these last weekend and they arrived straight away. I have never read a John Green and this is a really niec US HB so I’m excited for that. Also, Harry, A History, was a must have for me! Its written by the Webmistress of The Leaky Cauldron website and is all about the rise of the Harry Potter phenomenon. Cant wait to read it!
So yeah, I tried and failed to be good, but I didn’t buy a single book! now I’m off to try and put a serious dent in my tbr!
  • I’ve not heard of Skin Deep before, but I just looked it up and it sounds quite good – definitely added to my To-Read list now!

And Paper Towns is the perfect book to enter the amazing John Green world! I am entirely biased since that was my first John Green book, but it really is a great read. One of my favourites, and was my fav JG until TFiOS. I hope you like it!

    Happy reading 🙂
