From the Review Pile (#1)

From the Review Pile is a meme created by Stephanie over at Stepping Out of the Page. Designed to highlight the books that we have have sitting on our review piles and tbr shelves for far too long, it gives books the little bit of extra publicity they deserve. You can find out more about the meme here and you can follow the link above to Stephanie’s blog.
This is the first time I’ve taken part in From the Review Pile but I have been meaning to for a while and I may well make it a regular thing. My tbr pile is horrendous with well over 100 books sat unread. Some of these have been there for years now and its one of these which I am highlighting today.
Everything Beautiful was purchased from a charity shop whilst I was still at uni, I graduated in 2010, my bad. I loved the sound of the blurb when I saw it and vaguely recognised the authors name. Now I’m in the blogosphere I know that the author is quite well known and well received. It has great reviews and ratings on goodreads and sound like a brilliant contemporary romance.
Goodreads summary:
“Riley Rose, atheist and bad girl, has been tricked into attending Spirit Ranch, a Christian camp. There she meets Dylan Kier, alumni camper and recent paraplegic, who arrives with a chip on his shoulder and a determination to perfect all of his bad habits. United in their personal suffering and in their irritation at their fellow campers, they turn the camp inside out as they question the meaning of belief systems, test their faith in each other, and ultimately settle a debate of the heart”

  • Ah you must read Everything Beautiful, I loved it!

I should really start doing From the Review Pile too, my TBR is over 180…

  • Suddenly feel glad that my tbr pile is only about 30 or 40 :p

  • I don’t even want to count how many books are in my TBR…

Everything Beautiful is fantastic, though. You should definitely try and get around to it.

  • You’re making me feel better about my review pile now :p

And this book does sound fantastic 🙂

  • I love this book! And the author, who I’ve met several times now, is absolutely lovely.
